Meet Somy:
Hi! I’m Somy.
A Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and clarity. My approach is rooted in understanding your story, supporting your healing, and empowering you to grow into your most authentic self.
As a Nigerian Canadian, I bring a unique perspective that values culture, identity, and connection. With experience supporting children, youth, and adults.
I value connection, compassion, and thoughtful listening.
Daily, I notice that the more I sit with clients, the more I’m reminded that healing rarely comes from quick fixes. Rather, it emerges when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. I often notice a quiet shift, a softening or lightness, when someone realizes they are being listened to in a way they may have longed for, sometimes for a very long time.
Those moments are what matter most to me. Being able to offer a space where you feel safe enough to open up, be understood, and begin to process what you’ve been carrying, at your own pace.
Why I do this Work!
When I’m not supporting clients, I enjoy spending time with family, watching movies, and reading a good book. I love bringing curiosity, creativity, and a sense of play into my life, and I carry that same energy into my work, helping clients explore their experiences in a safe, authentic, and often even light-hearted way.
